End of Year Report 2024

Thank you for standing alongside Stand UP Nashville for another year. You have proven what we’ve always known to be true. Nashvillians deeply want a city that works for us all – regardless of race, occupation, or zip code. And we are willing to work towards it together.

We’ve compiled it in our 2024 End of Year Report. While every job fair, community meeting, or personal testimony can’t be fully captured here – we do have plenty of highlights from our power building strategies and undeniable impact.

Although the challenges, obstacles, and disappointments of 2024 have been real. And the threats to collective progress have become more blatant and dismissive. Those things didn’t dim the light of our progress. They only made us shine brighter in new ways.

We looked within to improve internal operations and forged new pathways to connect with our base. As a result, this year was ripe with new wins. Our hearts were moved with your personal housing stories and we appreciate the ways the series resonated with you. Thank you for filling the auditorium seats for our first theatrical production, Dot’s Home. When critical issues and actions needed volunteers to phone and text bank, turnout, and organize – you showed up!

In the words of our Executive Director J. Odessa Kelly, “We stepped into this work not just to resist but to reimagine.” Looking back on what we’ve accomplished, it’s no wonder that we have the relentless audacity to keep pressing forward.

We’re extremely proud of our mission-driven work. Together, we can do more.

Your gift of any size will ensure the voices of Nashvillians are heard, their presence is seen, and their desires for healthy, safe, and thriving neighborhoods and communities are prioritized. Please take a moment and click here to invest in our work with a one-time or recurring monthly donation.
