In 2023, we celebrated every win while intentionally reflecting and realigning. The year began with being named The Tennessean’s People of the Year of 2022, for our instrumental role as a “builder” in the city. While new cranes appeared to be erected each week, our work was centered in people building. We ensured everyday Nashvillians could see themselves as priority stakeholders in creating a city that enables the working-class, and Black and Brown people to thrive. We appreciated the recognition and carried the torch into our 2023 strategy.
This year, we called out challenges and issues, while strengthening our internal and external systems to amplify opportunities and solutions. But we didn’t do it alone.
